About SaferStart

Reduce your risk of passing on a genetic disease

Everyone carries some genetic changes, but most don’t affect our health. Risks arise when both partners carry changes in the same gene.

Research shows that around 1 in 25 couples may face this situation — meaning their children could inherit a serious genetic condition.

SaferStart’s at-home test helps you and your partner understand your risk before pregnancy. If results show an increased chance, a medical doctor will explain your options — including approaches like IVF — so you can make the choices that are right for you.

How it works

Our at-home saliva test covers more than 700 of the most common genetic conditions, giving you a deeper understanding of potential health risks and hereditary factors. We prioritize accuracy and confidentiality to ensure that you receive reliable and secure results.

Screening estimates chances; it is not a diagnostic test and cannot detect all genetic conditions. A negative result lowers, but does not completely remove risk.
